BUG FIXED

The problem described has been fixed

Following the SPIKE 3.4.1. release, new unopened LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime Hubs are affected. After a firmware update, the button is green, but there is no heart displayed, and the Hub is not usable. This does not affect Hubs that were already used, only newly purchased Hubs.

This issue is resolved with the SPIKE App updates 3.4.2 and later. If you still experience the issue and the Hub is unresponsive, follow factory reset steps and then update to the latest version.

Factory reset steps:

  1. Make sure the Hub has a green center button.

  2. Make sure the Hub is turned off.

  3. Hold the center button for at least 10 seconds. Note: there is no indicator showing that 10 seconds have gone by.

  4. Release the center button. The center button will now blink in green.

  5. Hold the center button again and observe the center button cycling in color between green -> yellow -> red -> green ...

  6. Release the center button when the button is red.

  7. The Hub should now start with the heart image.

  8. Connect to the SPIKE App and update the firmware again.
